Souvala

Souvala is a beautiful traditional fishing village with a nice beach, taverns, bars, cafes, hotels and many rooms and apartments that can be rented.
It's a wonderful tourist resort full of liveliness. From Souvala you can go to the town of Aegina by bus which takes about 30 minutes.

There is also a road from the village that leads to Palaioxora, which is a medieval town, and to the monastery of Saint Nektarios.

 

Vagia

East from Souvala, the coastal road continues and after about 4 kilometers, it reaches Vagia which is a small picturesque tourist resort.
The village is much smaller than Souvala and it has a s mall picturesque harbour.

 

Agia(Santa) Marina

Agia(Santa) Marina is a well known and a favourite summer destination for greek and foreign tourists.
It has a big sandy beach, well organized with water sports available and the waters are not very deep.
The beach is 500 meters long with many big pine trees.
At the beach, there is the church of Santa Marina, which celebrates its name day on the 17th of July.

Portes

Portes is a remote fishing village with a few houses and a very pictursque tavern. It has a beautiful pebbly beach and a small pictursque harbour for the boats in the area. You can go to Portes if you take the coastal road from Santa Marina.

 

The Beaches of Aegina town

The town of Aegina has two organized beaches.

The first is 200m. at the left of the port and in front of the Archaeological place of Aegina. It has got sand and shallow green-blue clean waters, ideal for swimming and dech-chairs, omprellas and shower. Around the beach there are picturesque taverns and cafes.

The second beach is 400m. at the right of the port. It has got sand and shallow green-blue clean waters, ideal for swimming. Also around the beach there are picturesque taverns and cafes.

 

Marathonas

Marathonas is 4 kilometers far from the harbour of Aegina. It is a tourist resort with a well organised beach. Between the road and the beach, there is plenty of vegetation with trees, stubbles and bushes. The beach is sandy, suitable for games with rackets.
The sea has a blue color that is fascinating.

 

Aeginitissa

Aeginitissa is 2 kilometers from Perdika and it has a fully-organised beach with snack-bars, umbrellas for the sun, music and rackets.

Its rich vegetation goes all the way up and the blue crystal water of the sea is impressive.

 

Perdika

Perdika is an old traditional settlement, build around the port. In the old times its townfolks were occupied exclusively with fishing. Main characteristic of the settlement of Perdika is the small houses with their yards to connect with each other.
Climb down the scecial rocky stairs for swimming into clear waters. Swim to the beautiful, rocky beach of Perdika, next to the trees, open your umbrellas and dive to the sea, from the two wooden platforms.
Perdika has got port for yachts to anchor and it consentrate many of them, because of its picturesque character.

 

Moni

The beaches have deep, clear waters, suitable for underwater fishing.
It's full of pine trees and it has a nice sandy beach as well as other places where you can go swimming, fishing, on a pic-nic and also hiking through the island.
